Yash M. Patel

Yash Patel is the Co-Founder and CEO of Legion Health, a Y Combinator-backed psychiatry practice that leverages technology to streamline operations and expand access to insurance-covered mental health care. He leads Legion’s overall strategy and operations – from product development and partnerships with insurance providers to marketing, finance, and data infrastructure – working closely with the clinical leadership to support safe, high-quality care delivery at scale.

Prior to co-founding Legion Health, Yash worked as an analyst in the Health, Retirement, and Long-Term Analysis division at the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), where he modeled the impacts of healthcare policy changes. He also conducted health policy research at Harvard Medical School, and his drive to improve psychiatric care accessibility was profoundly shaped by his experience as a caregiver for his father during a serious illness. This combination of personal experience and systems-level insight led him to build a company focused on addressing gaps in mental health care.
